Donors with a negative Rh factor are needed in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On August 10, 2026, at 16:40 Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the demand for donors with a negative Rh factor has increased. The regional blood center named after N.Ya. Klimova invites volunteers with I, II, and III negative blood groups, reports medical expert Alexey Nikонов. Medical institutions in the region continue to accept donors with II positive blood groups on a planned basis. Specialists currently recommend that holders of other phenotypes postpone their visit to the center. There are currently sufficient supplies of components from these groups. Since the beginning of 2026, nearly 34,000 blood donations and their components have been made in the Nizhny Novgorod region. 17,200 residents of the region have become donors. Whole blood was donated nearly 28,600 times. Plasma was donated over 4,100 times, and platelets over 1,200 times.
