A million rubles in alimony debt was collected from a Nizhny Novgorod resident after his son turned 18.
On August 10, 2026, at 10:30 AM, Society A resident of the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod accumulated a large debt for alimony owed to his son. When the young man turned 18, the bailiffs calculated the total amount of the debt, as reported by the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the region. The man had long evaded paying alimony and did not voluntarily settle the debt. Then the bailiffs froze his bank accounts and prohibited any registration actions with his vehicle. However, these measures did not compel the man to settle his debt. As a result, the debt was collected forcibly: over one million rubles were deducted from his bank accounts and withheld from his salary. Additionally, the man had to pay an enforcement fee of another 100,000 rubles. After the debt was fully settled, the bailiff lifted all restrictions and closed the enforcement proceedings. Earlier, it was reported that a Nizhny Novgorod resident hid from the bailiffs in a sofa due to a 220,000 ruble alimony debt. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
