A group for stormwater drainage has been created in Nizhny Novgorod.

      The administration of Nizhny Novgorod has created a working group for the acceptance of stormwater drainage network facilities into the municipal property registry. The document has been posted on the city hall's website. The group is headed by the deputy head of the administration, Anton Maximov. Its members include the director of the landscaping department, Elena Pegova (deputy chair), the head of the landscaping management, Alexander Zhvakin (secretary), as well as representatives from the legal department, the transport and road management departments, the construction and capital repairs department, and the committee for managing municipal property. Heads of all districts of Nizhny Novgorod, as well as the head of the Novinsky rural council's territorial department, will participate in meetings based on territorial criteria. Deputies from the city Duma, who are chairpersons of relevant committees on municipal economy, ecology, and urban planning, have also been included in the group. The main task of the working group is to consider issues related to the transfer of stormwater drainage facilities into municipal ownership, to assist in resolving disputes between interested parties, and to ensure interaction between sectoral and territorial bodies of the administration. Meetings will be held as needed, decisions are made by a simple majority vote and are advisory in nature. It should be noted that there have been changes in the Nizhny Novgorod operational headquarters.
