The presentation of HC "Torpedo" will take place at Minin and Pozharsky Square on City Day.

August 8, 2026 17:18 Sports The traditional presentation of the players of the Nizhny Novgorod hockey club "Torpedo" before the start of the season will take place on August 15, as part of the celebration (0+) of City Day. This was reported by the city administration.

The team will be part of the ceremonial event at Minin and Pozharsky Square. The hockey players will take to the main stage from 17:45 to 18:05. The club management will introduce all the players of the main squad to the citizens, including announcing the newcomers and presenting them with their personalized jerseys.

Recall that in the previous two years, the player presentation took place at the bookmaker festival "Paris Fest," so not everyone could attend. Now everyone who wishes can join the ceremony.

Recall that the players returned from vacation on August 1. In the first days of the month, they underwent a complete medical examination, after which they began training in full squad. The white-blues are currently undergoing preseason training camp.

Ahead of the Nizhny Novgorod team are three friendly matches. An away inspection is currently taking place at the new "Volga Arena." If the results are positive, the first friendly match against Moscow's "Dynamo" will take place there, but without spectators.

On August 18, "Torpedo" will play away against Yaroslavl's "Lokomotiv," and on August 20, they will meet with the capital's "Spartak." From August 28 to 30, the team will participate in the Moscow Mayor's Cup (6+).

The regular championship for "Torpedo" will start on September 5 with an away match (6+) against "Spartak" in Moscow. The first home match of the season is scheduled for September 14, when Kazan's "Ak Bars" will come to Nizhny Novgorod. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
