      Over the past five years, about nine million square meters of housing have been built in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin addressed the residents of the region in connection with Builder's Day, which is celebrated on August 9. The text of the address was distributed by the press service of the head of the region and the regional government. "Builder's Day is a holiday for creators. Even in ancient times, architects, laying the foundation of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, predetermined the future appearance and character of our city. Later, during the period of industrialization, industrial giants appeared in the region. Each of these facilities was built by people who thought strategically and could look decades ahead. This creative mission is passed down from generation to generation—and today you continue it with dignity. The region is actively developing—modern residential quarters, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure facilities are being built. Over the past five years, about nine million square meters of housing have been built in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Thousands of families have found their home, opportunities for raising children, and personal development. Now, when the time demands the strictest requirements, you still maintain a high standard—you preserve internal stability and, I am sure, make the right decisions that determine the development of our territories.
