Now passengers do not have to wait for all doors to open automatically at the stop — they can open the necessary one themselves, reported LLC "Ecological Projects." To do this, it is enough to press a button. It is located on each door both inside and outside the carriage. However, the system will only work after the tram has come to a complete stop. In addition, the driver must disable the door lock. Recall that Nizhny Novgorod received 1.32 billion rubles from the National Wealth Fund for the advance payment to the general contractor for the reconstruction of tram depot No. 2 (Gordeievsky). It was previously reported that the design of new tram lines in Sormovo and Shcherbinki will begin in 2027. Currently, the authorities are preparing a land planning project for the future lines.
