According to the official, the development of suburban railway communication remains an important part of the city's transport framework. In Nizhny Novgorod, the "City Electric Train" project has already been implemented: trains operate in three directions, and their extension is planned. Morozov reminded that in 2025, the Kstovo district became part of Nizhny Novgorod. As a result, the city became the second largest in Russia by area after Moscow. This decision, he emphasized, imposes additional obligations to ensure transport accessibility and to form a unified urban environment.

The project includes the creation of a transport interchange hub in Kstovo, the construction of a connecting railway loop near the Royka station, and the reconstruction of the infrastructure at the Mysa station. The length of the new line will be 25 km. Stops are planned in Ankundinovka and Bolshaya Yelna, and the travel time will be about 15 minutes.

      "We have also received support from the Government of the Russian Federation and expect that next year these works will be launched in full swing, and their implementation will take about two years," he said.
