A fatal car accident involving a mangled "Oka" in Dzerzhinsk has resulted in a criminal case.

      August 7, 2026 16:30 Incidents A terrible car accident with a deceased woman in Dzerzhinsk has led to a criminal case. It was initiated under part 3 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The tragedy occurred on August 6 on the Zarevskaya bypass road. The driver of the truck (a 27-year-old local resident) crashed into an "Oka." The 64-year-old driver of the car was hospitalized. His female passenger died at the scene. The truck driver admitted guilt. Both vehicles were seized, as well as the dashcam. Necessary examinations have been appointed, and investigative actions are being conducted to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The perpetrator of the traffic accident may face up to five years in prison. Earlier, there were reports of a traffic accident in the Vachsky district.
