Employers received 166 million rubles for the employment of Nizhny Novgorod residents.

      On August 6, 2026, at 11:44, the Regional Branch of the Social Fund of Russia financed the employment of residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region with 166 million rubles. Over five years, 570 enterprises have participated in the SFR program. As a result, more than 1,600 residents of Nizhny Novgorod found work. Subsidies are provided to employers for the employment of certain categories of citizens. When employing unemployed individuals, workers at risk of dismissal or dismissed due to staff reductions, people with disabilities, youth under 30, veterans of the special military operation, and members of deceased military personnel, as well as refugees from Ukraine, and from the DPR and LPR, enterprises are compensated three minimum wages (more than 81,000 rubles). For the employment of citizens recognized as disabled in the established manner, a compensation of six minimum wages (almost 162,600 rubles) is provided. Payments are made in stages—after the first, third, and sixth months, respectively. Enterprises in the defense industry have a separate support measure—a payment of three minimum wages per employee once every three months for a year. Additionally, the SFR Branch compensates up to 200,000 rubles for the re-equipment of workplaces for people with disabilities. To receive state support, an employer must contact the employment center through a personal account on the "Work of Russia" portal to select employees, and then submit an application to the regional branch of the SFR. The application for compensation for the costs of equipping a workplace must be submitted within three months from the date of signing the employment contract with the disabled person. At the same time, the employment period must be at least nine months. After checking the documents, the employment center sends them to the SFR branch, which transfers the funds within ten working days.
