More than 44 thousand consultations were held for Nizhny Novgorod residents in the "Health Trains."

      On August 5, 2026, 10:27 Society Since the beginning of 2026, mobile medical complexes "Health Trains" have made 145 trips to municipalities in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Medical professionals have already visited almost all municipalities in the region. Plans for August include visiting 16 districts and four more areas of Nizhny Novgorod. At the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital named after N.A. Semashko, where mobile medical teams are formed, they shared current statistics on the work of the "Health Trains." Over the past seven months, specialists have already seen more than 26,000 patients. Doctors conducted over 44,000 consultations and performed about 84,000 laboratory and instrumental examinations. Thanks to the work of medical professionals, more than 5,300 cases of diseases have been identified among the residents of Nizhny Novgorod for the first time. Among them are over 350 cases of cardiovascular diseases, nearly 260 cases of diabetes, and about 60 cases of malignant neoplasms. The N.A. Semashko Regional Clinical Hospital reported that residents of Nizhny Novgorod most often seek consultations from cardiologists, endocrinologists, neurologists, and ophthalmologists through the "Health Trains." All necessary equipment is available for the work of doctors and medical staff—mobile modules are equipped with laboratory research equipment, ECG and ultrasound machines, mammographs, fluorographs, and other technology. "The work of the 'Health Trains' is aimed at the early diagnosis of dangerous diseases and the prevention of severe complications. This aligns with the goals and objectives of the national project 'Long and Active Life,' initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It is important to remember that preventive measures are the foundation of public health," emphasized the N.A. Semashko Regional Clinical Hospital.
