Vladimir Putin awarded the Nizhny Novgorod deputy for his services to the Fatherland.

      On August 5, 2026, at 11:43, Politics President of Russia Vladimir Putin awarded the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region and doctor Alexander Tsopov. The corresponding decree was published on the official website for the publication of legal acts. For his achieved labor successes and many years of conscientious work, Tsopov was awarded the medal of the Order "For Merits to the Fatherland" II class. Currently, Alexander Tsopov holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Region on Social Issues. Over the years, he has headed the City Hospital named after M.F. Vladimirsky in Arzamas, the Navashinsky and Kstovsky Central District Hospitals, and served as Vice-Rector of NizhGMA (now PIMU - Editor's note). From June 2024 to June 2025, Tsopov worked as the Chief Physician of the Central City Hospital of Khartsyzsk in the DPR. It was previously reported that the same award was given to the chief physician of the B.A. Korolev Research Institute of Cardiac Surgery in Nizhny Novgorod, Anton Maximov.
