Nizhny Novgorod residents were shown photos from the stands of the "Volga Arena."

      On August 3, 2026, at 11:57, SportNizhny Novgorod showed new photographs of the "Volga Arena," where the hockey club "Torpedo" will hold home matches in the new season. The new arena at Strelka accommodates nearly 12,000 spectators—significantly more than the KRK "Nagorny," where "Torpedo" performed in recent years. Therefore, many fans have raised the question of which seats to choose to comfortably follow the game. The lower tier features 16 sectors with 4,802 seats.

      In the central sectors 104-105 and 112-113, the ice is located right in front of the spectators, making both attack zones and team benches clearly visible from here.

      From the corner sectors and seats behind the goals, it's convenient to monitor the entire rink. By the way, it is presumed that the fan sector will be located in sector 203.

      The "Volga Arena" will have a total of four levels. The upper tier is designed for 6,799 spectators. Thanks to the steep incline of the stands, a good view of the rink is promised from here, almost without any "blind" spots. The premium level includes 31 VIP boxes and a restaurant with 569 seats. Separate entrances, sky boxes, and additional comfort are provided for guests.

      There will also be Face-to-face format seats—13 sectors with approximately 600 seats right by the protective glass. From here, fans will be able to see the players up close, hear their conversations, and feel right in the center of the action. For now, fans have only been shown the lower tier so they can understand the view from these seats. Photos from the other tiers are promised to be published later.

      It is worth noting that the arena was planned to be handed over to "Torpedo" for operation this summer. Likely, on August 14, the Nizhny Novgorod team will play a preseason match against "Dynamo." On September 7, a test match involving "Chaika" will take place at the stadium. And already on September 14, Alexey Isakov's team will host Kazan's "Ak Bars." This will be the first home game for "Torpedo" in the 2026/2027 season.
