A new excursion program is set to be launched at the Perevoz Horse Breeding Farm.

      On August 3, 2026, at 17:30 Culture and Leisure A new excursion program (12+) is planned to be launched at the Perevoz Horse Breeding Plant with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation. This is one of the oldest horse enterprises in Russia, founded in 1844. "The Perevoz Horse Breeding Plant is the pride of the Nizhny Novgorod region! The enterprise is the only one in the region specializing in the preservation and breeding of the rare Soviet heavy draft breed. The plant has gone through different times. Now the owner is investing in both the development of the plant and the tourist component. I am confident that excursions to this unique enterprise will attract many interested people," emphasized Igor Ishchenko, General Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation. The organization is owned by LLC "Agat Agro." Currently, the enterprise houses more than 130 horses. In 2023, it received the status of a gene pool farm. The launch of excursions is planned after the establishment of all necessary tourist infrastructure and the training of guides. The decision to launch the tourist route project was made by the investor after participating in a series of round tables organized by the Development Corporation and dedicated to the development of the tourism industry. The meetings discussed measures of state support, available sites for placing tourist facilities, as well as promising investment niches. "Participation in the round tables organized by the Development Corporation helped us to look at the potential of our farm in a new way. The support of the Corporation gave us confidence that we are moving in the right direction," said Dmitry Lukin, a representative of the agricultural holding "AGATAGRO." Since 2022, territorial managers of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation have been operating in the region. They assist investors implementing projects in municipalities located away from the regional center. Each manager is assigned to several districts. On a regular basis, agency specialists conduct personal consultations on the implementation of investment projects. Large cluster meetings uniting entrepreneurs from several districts are also held quarterly.
