      The activities of illegal migration organizers have been suppressed in Nizhny Novgorod. According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region, employees of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Department (UEBiPK) together with colleagues from the Migration Department and with the support of special forces detained three organizers of a scheme for the fictitious employment of foreigners. The perpetrators turned out to be a 48-year-old and a 37-year-old foreign nationals, as well as their 42-year-old accomplice. On behalf of a controlled legal entity, they submitted forged documents about the employment of migrants to the migration authorities. Foreigners were illegally registered as highly qualified specialists with a salary of 250,000 rubles per month. Based on this fictitious information, migrants received multiple visas and work permits in the Russian Federation. However, no real labor relations were established with them, and more than 50% of the salary was taken by the perpetrators. A criminal case has been initiated. Two detained foreigners (including the head and founder of the legal entity) have been taken into custody, while their accomplice is under a travel restriction. During the investigation, police identified 35 foreigners, for whom protocols on administrative violations were drawn up. 27 people have already been expelled from the Russian Federation, and another five have been placed in the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens (TDCFC).
