The KKS prematurely stripped the Shakhunsky judge Pashkevich of his powers.

On July 30, 2026, at 17:21, the Qualification Collegium of Judges of the Nizhny Novgorod Region prematurely terminated the powers of Judge Denis Pashkevich of the Shakhunsky Interdistrict Court. This decision was made on July 30 at an extraordinary meeting of the KKS.

As reported on the collegium's website, the judge was subjected to disciplinary action. He was assigned a disciplinary sanction in the form of premature termination of powers with the deprivation of the sixth qualification class. The essence of the claims is not disclosed.

The decision can be appealed in court or to the Supreme Qualification Collegium of Judges of the Russian Federation.

Previously, the KKS had made similar decisions regarding former judges of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court Vyacheslav Sapega and Viktor Fomin. They were stripped of their status as retired judges due to violations of anti-corruption restrictions. This means they lost all the privileges associated with their positions.

Earlier, an investigation was initiated against the two judges due to assets registered in their families that did not correspond to their official incomes. In March, the court ordered the state to seize 35 real estate properties and a BMW X6 XDRIVE 30D registered in Fomin's relatives' names. Later, the court also ruled to seize over 100 million rubles from accounts belonging to his mother.

In the spring of 2026, the court also ruled to seize property belonging to Vyacheslav Sapega with a total value of 54 million rubles. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
