681 unemployed resident of Nizhny Novgorod received psychological support since the beginning of the year.

      July 29, 2026 16:52 Society Over the past six months, 681 unemployed resident of Nizhny Novgorod has turned to the "Work of Russia" employment center for psychological support in job placement. This is 40% more than for the entire year of 2025, reported the regional government.

      Mainly, women aged 35-54, pre-retirement age individuals, single parents, and large families seek this type of support. Citizens in these categories experience increased emotional stress related to job searching and the need to balance child-rearing and work.

      "We see an increase in requests among women with children and older citizens. This means that people feel the care of our specialists and are ready to seek new opportunities, striving to remain active and stay in their profession, which directly affects demographic sustainability," noted Igor Pantyukhin, the Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Acting director of the "Work of Russia" employment center in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Elena Vidyaeva, notes positive changes in the attitudes of those who have sought help: after the sessions, people stop perceiving rejections as personal tragedies, learn to see their strengths, and choose achievable career goals.

      After receiving psychological support from January to June 2026, 173 people found jobs. In contrast, for the entire previous year, 180 service recipients were employed.

      Providing psychological support in job placement aligns with the objectives of the national project "Personnel," which is being implemented on the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
