The open festival "Play, Accordion! Sing, Soul!" will take place in the Avtozavodsky Park of Culture and Recreation.

      On August 1 at 12:00, the X Open Festival "Play, Accordion! Sing, Soul!" will take place in the Avtozavodsky Park of Culture and Recreation, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Avtozavodsky District. As reported by the district administration, more than 60 accordionists will showcase their skills at the celebration, including amateurs and professionals aged from 10 to 80 years from the Nizhny Novgorod region and other regions of Russia.

      As part of the festival, which will be held on the main stage of the park near the fountain, folk tunes, original compositions, humorous songs and ditties, modern pieces, local folklore, and much more will be performed by laureates of regional and all-Russian festivals of Russian accordion music. Following the event, participants will be awarded titles such as "Best Folk Accordionist of 2026," "Best Ditties Performer," "Family Ensemble," "Youngest Participant," and "Best Performer of Patriotic Songs."

      The honorary guest and participant of the festival will be Anatoly Kulikov - a laureate of all-Russian and international competitions, a member of the "golden ten" of the best accordionists in Russia, listed in the Book of Records of the Kostroma Region for the number of Gorky accordions he has collected in his collection. In addition to musical performances, park guests will also see an exhibition of Gorky accordions.
