Nizhny Novgorod region will receive federal funds for the Prosthetics Center.

      July 25, 2026 14:14 Economy The Nizhny Novgorod region has become one of three regions where new prosthetics and rehabilitation centers will be established by the end of 2026. The Russian government will allocate 360 million rubles from the reserve fund for their creation, as reported on the Cabinet's website. The corresponding order has already been signed. The center in Nizhny Novgorod will open based on the Volga District Medical Center of the FMBA of Russia. Here, residents will be able to receive comprehensive assistance in prosthetics, rehabilitation, and habilitation. Services will also be available to participants of the special military operation and other people with disabilities. In addition to Nizhny Novgorod, similar centers will be created in Krasnoyarsk and Yalta. The establishment of a network of such centers is provided for in a plan developed at the instruction of the President of Russia. The main goal of the project is to make such assistance more accessible to people with disabilities.
