An official was fined for the fall of a football goal on a child in Diveevo.

      On July 21, 2026, at 18:17, Incidents In the Diveevsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, a court issued a verdict against an administration employee, whose negligence led to an injury of a teenager on a sports ground. This was reported by the press service of the regional court.

      The incident occurred in March 2026 at a sports ground in the village of Glukhovo. During a game, football goals that were not secured to the ground fell on the teenager. The child sustained moderate health damage. The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case under part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence").

      As established in court, the head of the Northern territorial department of the Diveevsky municipal district failed to ensure safety during the operation of sports equipment. The defendant admitted guilt.

      The court refused to terminate the criminal case with the imposition of a judicial fine and issued a guilty verdict, finding him guilty of negligence. In addition, the official was fined 50,000 rubles.

      When making the decision, mitigating circumstances were taken into account, including partial compensation paid to the victim in the amount of 50,000 rubles. Additionally, the district administration previously paid 300,000 rubles as compensation for moral damage.

      The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
