July 27, 2026 12:44 Economy The Russian government will allocate funds for the modernization of the Nizhny Novgorod technopark "Stark". The volume of federal assistance will amount to 200 million rubles. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the cabinet, Mikhail Mishustin, the government press service reported. The funds will be directed towards equipping the site and updating its capabilities. It is expected that the implementation of new resources will create additional conditions for attracting residents - representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. At a meeting with deputy prime ministers on July 27, Mikhail Mishustin noted that the government expects the emergence of new businesses and the creation of jobs thanks to federal assistance. According to him, this will have a positive impact on the economy of the region and the country as a whole, and will also help solve tasks within the framework of national goals set by the head of state. Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Yegor Polyakov, reported on his Max channel that the technopark "Stark" will be focused on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. According to him, the site will focus on the development of industrial robotics, machine tool construction, metalworking, machine engineering, and the production of automotive components. According to Polyakov, residents will receive a fully prepared engineering infrastructure with a reserve of capacities. This will relieve entrepreneurs of the need to independently solve connection issues to networks and allow them to start working immediately. The total budget of the project exceeds 450 million rubles from federal, regional, and private sources. The implementation is planned until 2037, and the launch of the first phase is scheduled for 2026. Thanks to the new center, more than a hundred jobs will be created in the region. The deputy governor noted that the creation of "Stark" will contribute to achieving technological leadership in the region. The project is directly related to the task of Russian President Vladimir Putin to bring the country into the top 25 world leaders in the level of industrial robotics. It was previously reported that the Nizhny Novgorod region was the first in Russia to legally establish the concept of a production park of regional significance.
