"The adaptive sports map" has started working in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the information portal "Adaptive Sports Map" has started operating. The unified digital platform collects information about sports organizations and opportunities for physical activities for people with disabilities and limited health capabilities. The project is implemented within the framework of the state program "Sports of Russia."

      On the portal, users can find free adaptive sports sections, view contacts and photographs of sports institutions, as well as submit an application for enrollment. Currently, the catalog features 35 organizations operating in Nizhny Novgorod and another 16 municipalities in the region. In the future, the list is planned to be expanded.

      Additionally, the service includes a directory of sports facilities that provide training grounds for people with disabilities during free hours at no cost. The site also features video materials from sports events and stories of Nizhny Novgorod para-athletes—winners and prize-winners of national and international competitions.

      In the near future, the portal plans to add a competition calendar, a section "Sports for Our Own," dedicated to sports opportunities for veterans of combat operations, participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO), and their family members, as well as a library of home video workouts.

      As noted by the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Dmitry Kabailo, the portal will become a single navigator in the field of adaptive sports and will help engage people with disabilities, limited health capabilities, and participants of the SMO in physical activities. According to him, the use of artificial intelligence technologies will allow users to independently find suitable sections and enroll in classes.

      One of the features of the portal is the integration of the "SIGNED" service, which uses artificial intelligence to translate information about sports organizations into Russian sign language. In the future, developers plan to adapt the resource for visually impaired users.

      The portal was developed by specialists from the resource center for adaptive sports "Parus" with the support of the regional Ministry of Sports. The creators also invited organizations working in the field of adaptive sports to join the project and post information about their activities on the site.
