Details were reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod region. Earlier, footage appeared on social media, taken on the evening of July 9 at a gas station on Gagarin Avenue. That day, the "even-odd" system was implemented at gas stations in the region. On July 9, only car owners with license plates starting with an even number could refuel their vehicles. However, that driver had plates starting with an odd number. He decided to cheat and simply replaced the plates. The police conducted an investigation and identified the motorist. A protocol was drawn up under part 3 of article 12.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for installing knowingly fake state registration plates. He now faces a fine of 2,500 rubles. Earlier, we reported that a Nizhny Novgorod resident cursed at police officers at a gas station for skipping the line and received a fine.
