28 people have drowned in the Nizhny Novgorod region since the beginning of summer.

      July 15, 2026 17:07 Incidents Since the beginning of 2026, 46 people have died in the water bodies of the Nizhny Novgorod region, including four children. This was reported by the press service of the regional emergency management agency.

      28 people drowned in the summer (let's remember, the swimming season started on June 1). At the same time, eight people were rescued. A total of 35 incidents on the water have been recorded from June to the present time.

      Rescuers urge residents to exercise caution while resting near water bodies. Special attention should be paid to children. They should not be left unattended, as their life and safety depend on adults.
