Almost 17 thousand Nizhny Novgorod families registered their children for the 1st grade through "Gosuslugi".

      July 15, 2026 18:20 Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the main wave of enrollment for first graders has concluded. In the 2026/2027 academic year, schools in the region expect more than 30,000 first graders. As reported by the regional Ministry of Education, 56% of parents submitted applications through the "Gosuslugi" portal, while the rest contacted schools in person. The regional Minister of Education, Mikhail Puchkov, noted that nearly 17,100 families submitted documents through electronic services—1,000 more than the previous year. "Electronic registration allows parents to calmly submit documents from home and track the status of their application in real time," said Puchkov. Until September 5, parents can submit applications to schools outside the child's place of registration. Enrollment is possible if there are available spots.
