The mayor of Nizhny filled up his car in an hour.

      The head of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, spent an hour refueling his car. He shared this on his social media on July 17. He noted that today marks the ninth day of volunteer duty at the city's network gas stations, which includes administration staff and subordinate institutions of the mayor's office, as well as volunteers from various associations and organizations. Over the nine days, about 2,000 city hall employees—municipal servants working in departments and district administrations, as well as specialists from budget institutions—have come to help. It is worth noting that on July 12, the mayor reported that 1,300 city hall employees had come out for duty, meaning their number increased by 700 people in five days. It is encouraging to see that the number of enthusiastic officials is growing. Shalabaev mentioned that he assessed the work of the staff on the evening of July 16 when he went to refuel his car at the Rowing Canal. An employee from the Nizhny Novgorod district administration, Yaroslav, directed the mayor to the appropriate pump. The entire refueling process took Shalabaev about an hour.
