      July 16, 2026 17:00 Incidents The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, has requested a report on the criminal case regarding the prolonged non-resettlement of an emergency building in the village of Memory of the Paris Commune in Bor, Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the information center of the agency.

      The request was submitted to the reception of the head of the Investigative Committee via "VKontakte." Residents of the building on Shkolnaya Street reported that the structure, built in 1968, is in an uninhabitable condition. Cracks have appeared in the structures, communications are worn out, and the foundation is regularly undermined. In winter, the temperature in the apartments does not meet standards, and the water supply systems freeze.

      In 2024, the building was recognized as emergency due to a high degree of wear. However, new improved housing has still not been provided to the residents. Previously, the resettlement deadline was set for 2029, but it has been postponed to 2036. Appeals to various authorities have yielded no results.

      A criminal case has been initiated in the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region regarding this matter.

      Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the regional department, Ayrat Akhmetshin, to present a report on the preliminary and final results of the investigation, as well as on measures to ensure citizens' rights to improved housing.

      Earlier, the head of the Investigative Committee had already requested reports on emergency buildings in Bor — on Komsomolskaya Street in the Oktyabrsky village and on Chapayev Street in the Neklyudovo village.
