This was reported by the governor of the region, Gleb Nikitin, on his MAX channel. The route introduces tourists to the traditions of the Semenov land and the famous folk craft. Guests can visit a master spoon maker, see how Khokhloma products are created, and then try their hand at being masters by painting a wooden spoon and a matryoshka doll themselves. According to Gleb Nikitin, the victory is a collective achievement of the masters who preserve unique traditions and the team developing the tourist potential of the region. Last year, the number of visitors to the route increased by 11%. "Weekends with Khokhloma" were attended by more than 28,000 people. The governor thanked the Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko and the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov for the award and the high assessment of the achievements of the Nizhny Novgorod region in the tourism sector.
