Local residents are posting about the foul smell on social media and are reaching out to the administration. People complain that it is difficult to stay at home due to the odor, especially in hot weather and at night. According to them, the air in the area used to be clean, but now it has become hard to breathe. As a suspected source of the stench, residents point to the local feed mill, where fish meal is processed into feed for birds and animals. They believe that the enterprise may be cutting costs on cleaning systems. Local residents think that the situation should be checked by supervisory authorities. Journalists attempted to enter the territory of the factory - the agricultural firm "Pavlovskaya," but they were not allowed in. A representative of the agricultural firm suggested over the phone to send an official request. "Most likely, you will get a response. I am not competent," the interlocutor said and ended the conversation. The reasons for the unpleasant smell were asked of a female employee leaving the enterprise. When pointed out about the residents' complaints, she said, "I think it's made up." At the same time, the employee acknowledged that the smell is present but added that the cleaning systems are working, and the workshop and buildings are new. In the agricultural holding "Russian Field," which includes the agricultural firm "Pavlovskaya," journalists were told that all emissions from the enterprise meet sanitary standards. Despite this, residents hope that their numerous appeals will attract the attention of regulatory authorities. It should be noted that last year, residents of Nizhny Novgorod complained about the periodically appearing stench.
