Almost 9 kg of homemade dairy products from Uzbekistan were burned at the Nizhny Novgorod airport.

      On July 14, 2026, at 16:15, Incidents: Rosselkhoznadzor inspectors discovered 8.85 kg of dairy products during the inspection of passengers at Nizhny Novgorod International Airport. This was reported by the interregional office of the agency. Over the past week, specialists monitored 66 flights arriving from distant foreign countries, the CIS, and the EAEU. During the inspection of luggage and hand luggage of passengers from Uzbekistan, employees found five batches of dairy products. They were produced in domestic conditions and imported without factory packaging, labeling, veterinary accompanying documents, and Rosselkhoznadzor permission. The products were detained and subsequently disposed of by incineration in the airport crematory oven. In addition, specialists conducted veterinary control of nine pets—cats and dogs. Following the inspection, documents were issued for them in accordance with the requirements of the destination countries, including EU states, Georgia, and Abkhazia.
