A state of heightened readiness has been introduced near the emergency house in Kanavino.

      On July 14, 2026, at 09:45, Society Authorities in Nizhny Novgorod introduced a state of heightened readiness in the territory of the Kanavinsky district. The resolution was published on the city hall's website. The decision was made due to the emergency condition of building No. 45 on Dolgopolova Street and the threat to the life and health of residents. This concerns a two-story multi-apartment wooden building constructed in 1916-1917. It is located near the Kanavinsky market. The regime has been in effect since June 19. Its area is established within the boundaries of the building. The administration of the Kanavinsky district has been instructed to notify the owners and tenants of apartments about the introduction of the regime. The management company LLC "GUD" has been recommended to inform residents about the situation, prepare lists of citizens for resettlement, and submit them to the district administration. The company is also required to take measures to close the building's perimeter and initiate the disconnection of the house from electricity and gas supply, sending appropriate requests to the utility companies. Engineering communications must also be disconnected. Earlier, it was reported that a state of heightened readiness was introduced near building No. 4 on Vokzalnaya Street in Kanavin, where Gorky's uncle lived.
