100 million rubles have been allocated for the maintenance of the pontoon bridge in Pavlov until 2028.

      On July 14, 2026, at 08:00 Society, 100.1 million rubles have been allocated for the maintenance of the pontoon bridge Pavlovo - Tumbotino in the Nizhny Novgorod region until 2028. This is reported on the state procurement website. The customer is the Main Department of Automobile Roads of the region. The work is scheduled from the moment of signing the contract until June 30, 2028. The execution of the contract is planned until August 11, 2028. Funding will be distributed over the years: in 2026 - up to 16.1 million rubles, in 2027 - up to 50.4 million, in 2028 - up to 33.6 million rubles. If the price is reduced as a result of the bidding, the funding volumes for the years will be proportionally reduced. The documentation notes that this concerns a pontoon crossing over the Oka River near Pavlovo. The bridge is intended for the passage of wheeled and tracked vehicles weighing up to 20 tons, as well as horse-drawn transport and pedestrians. The crossing operates around the clock and year-round, except during periods of ice formation and ice drift. The length of the floating part of the bridge is 323.4 meters, the width of the roadway is 6.84 meters, and the sidewalks are 1.2 meters. The structure includes five bridge sections. In winter, operation is possible both with ice cover and in clear water, taking into account established load restrictions. The technical assignment provides for a range of works on the operation, installation, and dismantling of the bridge, including for the passage of ice floes. The contractor will need to conduct regular inspections of the pontoons, hinge connections, and electrical equipment, ensure the operation of tugs, security of the site, and clearing of the riverbed and coastal area. Tests of the bridge with trucks, annual inspections by the Russian Classification Society, maintenance of diesel generators, and emission checks are planned. The list also includes repairs and reinforcement of metal structures, replacement of cables, road signs, rescue equipment, and fire extinguishers. In winter, the cleaning of the roadway and sidewalks from snow and ice, sanding, removal of snow masses, as well as monitoring the condition of the ice cover are provided. During the inter-navigation period, the contractor is obliged to ensure the preservation of the structures. The contractor must maintain uninterrupted and safe traffic, comply with safety, fire, and environmental safety requirements, as well as navigation standards. Passage over the bridge will remain free of charge. Recall that in 2026, the crossing was dismantled in March for scheduled maintenance.
