The "Knowledge" Society has established a new nomination for the subjects of the Russian Federation within the framework of the country's main educational award — Knowledge.Prize. A feature-length documentary will be filmed about the winning region. Applications for participation can be submitted by the main executive authorities of the regions until September on the award's website. The purpose of the nomination is to identify, encourage, and provide informational support to the most active regions that positively influence educational activities in Russia. Each application will be evaluated by at least three experts based on criteria of social significance, uniqueness, scale, and project reach. The shortlist will include three to five regions. The winner will be determined based on the results of the defense before the honorary jury and the results of public voting. The award ceremony will take place at the Knowledge.Prize gala in Moscow with the participation of top state officials and representatives from various fields. The winner will receive the title of "Educational Region of the Year" and a trophy award. A feature-length documentary will be filmed about the winning region. Maxim Dreval, the General Director of the Russian "Knowledge" Society, stated that in the sixth season, the Knowledge.Prize will continue its work with the regions. Last year, special awards were established for the best educators and projects in each subject of the Russian Federation. According to him, the new nomination will highlight regions that systematically develop educational activities and create conditions for the dissemination of knowledge. The Knowledge.Prize was established by the "Knowledge" Society in 2021 to recognize the achievements of educators, lecturers, authors, science popularizers, and other figures in education, as well as to support educational projects and companies from various fields. Over five seasons, the project received 65,984 applications from 89 regions of Russia and 79 foreign countries.
