      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region with disabilities of groups I and II, as well as drivers transporting children with disabilities, have the right to priority access to fuel pumps at gas stations. This was reminded by the Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the region in response to a resident's question in the official community of the agency on VKontakte.

      The clarification was prompted by a complaint from a Nizhny Novgorod resident who reported that she was denied priority service at one of the gas stations and was advised to negotiate with other motorists herself. According to the woman, she had to wait in the general line despite the benefit provided by law.

      The ministry explained that the right to service without waiting in line is enshrined in the Decree of the President of Russia No. 1157 dated October 2, 1992, "On Additional Measures of State Support for Disabled Persons." To take advantage of this opportunity, it is necessary to inform the gas station staff of your right and, if necessary, present a document confirming the disability. The agency also recommended not to engage in disputes with other drivers. If questions arise, it is better to immediately contact the gas station staff or volunteers who help organize the work of the gas stations.
