The decision is related to temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft in the capital's aviation hub. The Nizhny Novgorod airport is acting as the main backup airport for the Moscow aviation hub. Currently, 14 flights have arrived in the Volga capital. Airline representatives and airport staff are assisting passengers. Food and drinks are being provided to passengers. All airport services are operating in enhanced mode, the press service of the air harbor reported. Drinking fountains are available in the terminal, and additional water coolers and soft furnishings—ottomans and mattresses—will be installed if necessary. Passengers are advised to pay attention to announcements over the loudspeaker and information on the online display board in the airport terminal.
