The Abumov/Odintsov family from Nizhny Novgorod and the Abramov family from Dzerzhinsk became the winners of the second season of the annual competition "This is Family for Us" of the Presidential platform "Russia - a Land of Opportunities." The competition is held as part of the national project "Family." As reported by the organizers, 328 family teams from 85 regions of the country participated in the final of the competition, which took place on July 8 in Moscow. The competition brought together 2,081 people - 777 children, 648 parents, 459 grandmothers and grandfathers, as well as 10 great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers. The regional Ministry of Social Development and Family Policy reminded that 10 families represented the Nizhny Novgorod region in the final stage of the competition. Over four days, the finalists completed assessment tasks - performing a series of tasks on erudition, ingenuity, and also demonstrated how well children and parents can work together as a team, listen to and understand each other. According to the results, 60 families from 43 regions of Russia were recognized as winners of the second season of the competition "This is Family for Us," including two from Nizhny Novgorod. They received certificates for five million rubles to improve their living conditions. The finalists of the competition will go on family trips.
The Abramov family.
The Abramov family from Dzerzhinsk - mother Ekaterina, father Kirill, sons Stepan (11 years old) and Roman (6 years old), grandmother Vera Vladimirovna, grandfather Mikhail Alexandrovich, and aunt Maria Mikhailovna shared their emotions after winning. The family has a tradition of spending New Year's holidays together. The team loves creativity - for example, painting T-shirts, giving things a second life. They dream of taking a large car and going on a family trip to Kamchatka, the land of volcanoes and geysers, stopping along the way in Altai and at Lake Baikal. "This year, our family participated in such a large-scale family competition for the first time. We didn't expect to win at all; it is an incredible feeling of happiness, flight, joy for all participants and for ourselves. From the very first tasks, we realized that this competition is not just an opportunity to win the main prize. The competition helps pass on traditions and values to our smallest participants, gives an additional opportunity to learn even more interesting facts about our family. And we have a large and friendly family. We relax together, work together in the garden, and celebrate holidays together. For us, the most important thing was not winning, but participating together," said Ekaterina Abramova.
The Abumov family.
The Abumov/Odintsov family team from Nizhny Novgorod consists of six people: father Alexander, mother Polina, their daughters Yulia (9 years old) and Maria (6 years old), grandmother Lyudmila Yuryevna, and grandfather Anatoly Evgenyevich. The team is supported by their youngest son - Leonid (3 years old). The family team is united by travels using different modes of transport: bicycles, SUP boards, catamarans, kayaks, cars, motorhomes, trains, and planes. Even the birth of this family is connected with travels: grandmother Lyudmila Yuryevna and grandfather Anatoly Evgenyevich met in a tourist club at the factory where they both worked. They still travel with tents and have been to many places in Russia: from Kamchatka to Pskov. Mother Polina and father Alexander met during a car trip in the Bavarian Alps. The family has a motorhome for their travels. "This is a well-deserved award because we worked hard, and everything worked out. It was very interesting, exciting, and full of positive emotions. Our family loves active recreation - water tourism and road trips. We even bought a camper for this purpose - a kind of home on wheels. We travel all over Russia and have been to many places. In general, it doesn't matter to us where we are and what we do - at home, on a trip, or at our favorite dacha. The main thing is that we are together! This gives us strength and inspires us for new achievements," shared the members of the Abumov and Odintsov families.
Let us remind you that starting in 2025, a national project "Family" began operating in Russia by order of President Vladimir Putin, which fulfills the tasks of the previously existing national projects "Demography" and "Culture." It includes activities aimed at the comprehensive development of families: expanding support measures, creating conditions for the active longevity of the older generation, and ensuring quality and accessible medical care. The national project includes seven federal projects: "Support for Families," "Family Values," "Culture for Families," "Pushkin Card," "Older Generation," "Protection of Motherhood and Childhood," and "Large Families."
