A transport police officer in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Alexander Sirotkin, saved drowning children on the Kerzhenets River in the Semyonovsky district. This was reported by the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volga Federal District. On June 12, the man was spending his day off with his family by the river. He was watching his children swim when he saw two kids starting to go under the water, clinging to each other. Sirotkin then rushed to help. He pulled both children to the shore at the same time and provided the necessary assistance. The children were handed over to their parents. "Thanks to Alexander, our sons are now with us, alive and healthy. His determination, professionalism, and compassion helped save the children's lives," wrote the mother of a 7-year-old boy in gratitude to the police officer.
