The work of "Russian Post" will change in the Nizhny Novgorod region starting from September 1.

      July 9, 2026 10:07 Society Deputies approved a law that is expected to help "Russian Post" operate more stably and modernly. The document changes the rules in the field of postal communication and provides the company with additional funding opportunities, as reported on the State Duma website. Now banks will no longer be able to charge a commission for accepting electronic payments in favor of federal postal communication. Utility bills can be received electronically through "Gosuslugi." Advertising will be allowed on such receipts. The status of the digital system of "Russian Post" is also being established, through which it will be possible to send items in electronic format. The company will be able to involve legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the processing and delivery of letters and parcels. The creation of digital mailboxes for citizens and organizations, intended for receiving legally significant and other messages, is also provided for. In addition, the law anticipates the optimization of postal office working hours. Most of the changes will come into effect on September 1, 2026.
