More than 250 marriages were registered by Nizhny Novgorod residents on the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity.

      On July 8, 2026, 14:59 Society On Family, Love, and Fidelity Day, more than 250 marriages were officially registered in the Nizhny Novgorod region. About 100 weddings took place in Nizhny Novgorod, including at off-site venues. Six couples tied the knot at the Rukavishnikov estate. The first deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Andrey Gneushev, congratulated them on this event and holiday. He noted that it is family values that make the region and the country stronger, and wished the young couples a long and happy family life, mutual understanding, strong feelings, and faith in each other.

      "The most precious thing we have is family. It is the source of strength, warmth, and inspiration. I wish for your families to be an example of true love," said Andrey Gneushev.

      The solemn ceremony was conducted by the head of the main department of the Registry Office of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Olga Krasnova. According to her, the declared Family Five-Year period in the region until 2030 emphasizes the priority of strengthening the institution of marriage.

      "A wedding in the Nizhny Novgorod region is not just a beautiful celebration, but the first step towards a strong, happy family, which the state is ready to support at all stages of its formation," noted Olga Krasnova.

      She also reminded that from July 8, applications for marriage registration on Family, Love, and Fidelity Day next year are already being accepted. This date is traditionally very popular among Nizhny Novgorod couples, so those wishing to register their marriage on this day are advised to submit their applications in advance. The main department of the Registry Office of the Nizhny Novgorod region continues to expand the list of venues for conducting off-site wedding ceremonies.
