Ancient dugout boats were discovered by divers at the bottom of the Nizhny Novgorod river.

      On July 7, 2026, at 15:32, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, ancient wooden dugout boats were found at the bottom of the Tesh River. Photographs of the unusual finds were published in the group "Underwater World with the SL Team" on VKontakte. According to the community, the boats were hand-carved from solid wood and once served for transportation along the river.

      The authors of the publication note that the finds represent a part of the past preserved at the bottom of the water body. According to them, such boats remind us of a time when rivers were the main routes of communication, and wood remained the primary material for building vessels.
