The general contractor LLC "SoyuzDonStroy" has started dismantling the storage facilities. The contract with the company JSC "United Utility Operator" was signed on May 12. The specialists of the enterprise have prepared the first facilities for repair and have decommissioned 27 structures. During the reconstruction, the facilities of the second technological phase will be shut down in stages to maintain the continuity of biological wastewater treatment. Currently, 28 employees of the contracting organization and three units of equipment are involved on site. Starting next week, in accordance with the production schedule, an increase in the number of workers is planned. Dismantling of the metal structures of two secondary clarifiers has already begun. In total, within the framework of the reconstruction, JSC "OKO" will transfer 60 facilities to the contractor. These include seven aeration tanks, six secondary, and four primary clarifiers. The project also includes the construction of two ultraviolet disinfection stations. Upon completion of the second phase, the sludge treatment system will be fully modernized. It is planned to implement two-stage dewatering and thermal drying, which will allow abandoning the outdated technology of storing sludge on special sites with subsequent disposal at the landfill. After the reconstruction of the treatment facilities is completed, a phased reclamation of the existing sludge sites and landfill is planned. Let us remind you that the first phase of modernization was completed in December last year. The contractor was the Federal State Institution "RosKapStroy", and the contract for full modernization was signed with them in 2022. In April, JSC "OKO" announced its intention to unilaterally terminate the contract with the contractor. The work of the second phase of reconstruction is planned to be completed by 2030. The cost of the second phase is estimated at about 20 billion rubles. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
