The family of the convicted Kruchinin for bribery wants to be evicted from their Nizhny Novgorod apartment.

On July 3, 2026, at 12:01, Incidents The Federal Property Management Agency for the Nizhny Novgorod Region has filed a lawsuit demanding the eviction of Veronika Kruchinina, the ex-wife of the former head of the Nizhny Novgorod and Samara offices of Rosprirodnadzor, Oleg Kruchinin, and their three children from an apartment on Sergievskaya Street in the center of Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by "Kommersant-Volga".

The case concerns a 123-square-meter apartment that was confiscated last year following an anti-corruption lawsuit by the prosecutor regarding the appropriation of property for state revenue. A Cadillac Escalade, a Chevrolet Camaro, a house with a plot in Bolshoy Sukhodol, and 16 million rubles obtained from the sale of another apartment and two Mercedes-Benz cars were also transferred to the ownership of the Russian Federation. Oleg Kruchinin was left with a "Niva" car and half of a house in the village.

Recall that in 2024, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and head of the territorial offices of Rosprirodnadzor was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony and fined 230 million rubles. He was found guilty of receiving more than 11 million rubles in bribes from natural resource users, as well as from the director of the Central Laboratory for Analytical Testing and Inspection, Andrey Chernyshev, for facilitating his appointment. He did not admit guilt, but was unable to appeal the sentence.

According to the lawsuit from the Federal Property Management Agency, by the time it was filed, the apartment was already in the ownership of the Russian Federation. A ban on registration actions was imposed at the end of 2025, and by March 30, 2026, the ownership rights were transferred to the state. At the same time, according to the agency's data, Veronika Kruchinina continues to reside in the apartment, and the court's decision on confiscation has not been enforced.

In May, employees of the Federal Property Management Agency visited the house and questioned the doorman, who confirmed that the apartment was inhabited but could not name the residents. The agency representatives were unable to enter the premises. The agency requests that the wife of the convicted individual be obliged to vacate the premises within five days after the court's decision comes into effect. In case of refusal, the Federal Property Management Agency demands a penalty of 1,000 rubles for each day of residence.

According to lawyer Mikhail Garanin, this is the only housing for the family. Two of the children are minors, one of whom has a disability and cannot move independently. The defender also noted that the lawsuit was sent to the address of the apartment on Boris Panin Street, which has already been sold and where his client is not registered.

The lawyer added that the decision to confiscate the apartment on Sergievskaya Street is being challenged in the Supreme Court, although it has already come into legal force. He emphasized that Veronika Kruchinina was not involved in any corrupt crimes, the spouses divorced shortly after the verdict, and the law prohibits evicting minors without providing alternative housing and preserves their right to use the apartment until they reach adulthood.

The preliminary hearing of the Federal Property Management Agency's lawsuit is scheduled for the end of July.

Earlier, we reported that the hearing in the case of former Deputy Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod Ilya Shtokman has been postponed to August. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
