A chat for medical and psychological assistance has been launched in Russia for the families of participants in the special military operation.
July 3, 2026 10:59 Society The Unified Federal Chat of the Committee of Families of Defenders of the Fatherland for Providing Medical and Psychological Support has started operating in a new community on the social network "VKontakte." This was reported by the organization's press service. Now participants of the special military operation, combat veterans, their family members, as well as relatives of fallen defenders of the Fatherland from any region of the country can seek help through the project's community: vk.com/ksvo_medhelp. Support is provided free of charge, anonymously, and around the clock, without requesting personal data. As noted by the chat coordinator, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and head of the "Health Control" project, Yevgeny Martynov, artificial intelligence is not used in the chat — inquiries are processed by specialists in a live communication format.
"We see a steady demand for digital assistance so that people do not have to visit a medical organization in person, explain their situation to strangers, or worry about being recognized," emphasized Yevgeny Martynov.
The project team includes medical and clinical psychologists. They help cope with anxiety, emotional burnout, grief, stress, panic reactions, and other psychologically challenging situations. The head of the Committee of Families of Defenders of the Fatherland, Yulia Belekhova, emphasized that psychological assistance is often needed "here and now." According to her, support is provided around the clock, regardless of the region and time zone, and the ability to seek help anonymously without disclosing personal data has become an important factor of trust in this format of work. Earlier, we reported that the son of Zakhar Prilepin is completing his contract in the SVO zone. The NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
