On July 2, 2026, the Sormovsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod considered a civil case filed by the administration of Nizhny Novgorod against Khachatryan G.S. regarding the demolition of an unfinished construction object.
The court established that on the land plot on Svobody Street, located within the protective zones of federal cultural heritage sites "Residential House (wood), 1860s" (Nizhny Novgorod, Svobody St., 127) and "Residential House (wood), 1877" (Nizhny Novgorod, Svobody St., 129), Khachatryan G.S. was constructing a new building without obtaining the necessary construction permit and in violation of urban planning and construction norms: the land plot's development percentage exceeds the maximum allowable, there were violations of fire safety requirements, which poses a threat to the life and health of citizens.
The court, having established that the violations committed during the construction of the specified unfinished object are irreparable, granted the claim and ordered Khachatryan G.S. to demolish this object within three months after the court's decision comes into legal force.
