The Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor's office is interested in the poisoning at the cafe on Alekseevskaya.

      On July 2, 2026, at 13:10, Incidents The Prosecutor's Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region will monitor the establishment of the circumstances surrounding the poisoning of people after visiting a popular café on Alekseevskaya Street. This was reported by the press service of the agency.

      Recall that medical assistance was required for five adults and one child with symptoms of food poisoning. The minor boy was hospitalized in an infectious disease hospital. Preliminary diagnoses for the victims indicated salmonellosis.

      The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements for the life and health of consumers). The investigation is under the control of the leadership of the regional office of the agency.

      Investigators, in cooperation with specialists from Rospotrebnadzor, are conducting the necessary procedures and sanitary-epidemiological measures to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
