A center for racket sports will be built on Vaneeva Street in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Next to the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Olympic Reserve School, in the area of house No. 110B on Vaneeva Street, a center for racket sports will appear. This was reported by the NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" in the regional sports ministry. The department noted that construction work has already begun. The project is being implemented by LLC "Laboratory of Childhood" with the participation of LLC "Scientific and Technical Enterprise 'Akvilon'." The facility has received a positive expert opinion and a construction permit. The work is planned to be completed in the first half of 2027. Additionally, on July 1, 2026, the adjustment of the sports facility project received approval from a non-governmental expert review. A center for rhythmic gymnastics is also planned to be built near the school. The project includes the construction of a sports complex with variable floors from one to six stories, with a total area of 16,400 square meters. A hotel with 70 rooms is also planned to be built nearby. The contractor for the design and survey work was selected at the end of 2024 - it became the company "Asgard." However, in June 2026, it became known that the state contract with LLC "ASGARD" was terminated. Nevertheless, the region remains interested in implementing the project.
