      On July 2, 2026, at 11:10, Incidents: A 68-year-old man drowned in Chkalovsk. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The tragedy occurred on July 1 on the Sanakhta River. Eyewitnesses saw the man in the water and pulled him out. He was unconscious and soon died on the shore before the ambulance crew arrived. It is worth noting that on July 1, at the Sorting Lake in the Kanavinsky District, rescue sailors pulled a 39-year-old man from the water. He refused hospitalization.
