On July 2, 2026, at 11:33, Incidents The investigation into the criminal case of embezzlement and misappropriation of property of a non-profit organization has been completed in Nizhny Novgorod. The materials have been sent to court for consideration on the merits. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region. According to the investigation, the former head of one of the non-profit organizations in the Nizhny Novgorod region stole property from the organization between September 2025 and February 2026, specifically a computer, laptop, tablet PCs, video recorders, and a radio station. The damage amounted to 446,496 rubles. In addition, during the investigation, law enforcement established another criminal episode - the embezzlement of 276,000 rubles belonging to the organization. A criminal case under part 3 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (embezzlement or misappropriation) was initiated in April. A 26-year-old suspect was detained. During a search at his residence, a mobile phone and pawnshop receipts confirming the surrender of the stolen equipment were seized. The stolen property has been recovered, and the damage has been fully compensated. The accused fully admitted his guilt. He was placed under a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave and proper behavior.
