Questions regarding the termination of their powers were considered at the regular meeting of the council of deputies on June 30, the press service reported. Before submitting his resignation, Andrey Dranishnikov presented a report on the results of the activities of the head of the local self-government and the district administration. He reported on the main indicators of socio-economic development, the municipality's participation in national projects, and programs for the modernization of housing and communal services. According to him, based on the results of 2025, the district met the tax collection plan, has no debts, and has ensured the fulfillment of tasks related to assistance in conducting the special military operation. The deputies unanimously approved the presented report. After that, Andrey Dranishnikov submitted a resignation letter of his own accord. He explained that the decision was related to his participation in the election campaign for the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The deputies unanimously supported his decision. He will continue to perform the duties of the head of local self-government until the end of the week. Konstantin Dezhurnov also submitted a statement regarding the early termination of the powers of the chairman of the council of deputies. According to the law, a candidate participating in the elections cannot remain in a leadership position if their subordinates are involved in the electoral process, to avoid a conflict of interest. The deputies supported his decision to resign.
