The allowances for teachers have been adjusted in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
On June 29, 2026, at 15:36, the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region made changes to the regulations on the payment of wages for employees of state educational organizations. The document was published on the official legal acts portal. One of the key clarifications concerns the minimum wage: if an employee has fully worked their norm and fulfilled their duties, their monthly salary cannot be lower than the established minimum. Moreover, when calculating the minimum wage, overtime, night, and holiday hours, as well as certain pedagogical allowances for class leadership, checking notebooks, and managing classrooms, are not taken into account.
The list of compensatory payments has been updated. Allowances for work in special conditions range from 15% to 65% of the salary depending on the type of institution and the specifics of the work. Increased payments are provided for employees working with children with disabilities, in cadet schools, boarding schools, sanatorium organizations, and correctional institutions.
Separate allowances have been established: for night work—no less than 35% for each hour, for harmful and dangerous conditions—at least 4% of the salary, as well as for school bus drivers. Increased payments for work on weekends and holidays have been retained.
Additionally, detailed allowances for additional pedagogical work—class leadership, checking written assignments, leading methodological associations, mentoring, career guidance, and managing workshops and educational areas—have been specified. The amounts of these allowances vary depending on the type of workload and can reach up to 60% of the minimum salary for the professional qualification group.
Furthermore, incentive payments have been introduced for employees of organizations located in rural areas, as well as outside populated areas (for year-round institutions). For managers, educators, medical workers, accountants, and other specialists listed in the document, the allowance will be 25% of the official salary.
Specific payment amounts within the established ranges will be determined by the heads of organizations in coordination with the representative body of employees.
