      In Nizhny Novgorod, at the Sludinskaya water supply station of the Joint Utility Operator, the first regional competition for professional skills among housing and communal services enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region for the profession of repairman of thermal network equipment took place. The organizers were the Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the regional organization of the trade union of life support workers, and the association of employers of housing and communal services enterprises in the region. The Minister of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Mikhail Kurenkov, reported that the region has over four thousand kilometers of thermal networks and nearly two thousand boiler houses, providing heat to more than 20 thousand apartment buildings. According to him, over the past three years, about 500 kilometers of thermal networks have been replaced in the region, and the number of emergency situations in engineering networks has decreased by 10 percent compared to last year. The competition featured repairmen from the largest heat supply enterprises in Nizhny Novgorod, Pavlov and Semyonov. The competitions were held in two stages: participants completed theoretical tasks and demonstrated practical skills. The first place was taken by repairman Boris Maximov from LLC "FSK Energo Stroy" from Pavlov. The second place was awarded to repairman Alexey Pashkevich from LLC "Teploseti" (Nizhny Novgorod). The third place was taken by repairman Igor Fedorin from the Joint Utility Operator (Nizhny Novgorod). In the special nomination "Best Young Professional," established by the regional organization of the life support workers' trade union, repairman Alexey Malyshev from the OCO won. The promotion of secondary vocational education is the goal of the federal project "Professionalism" of the national project "Youth and Children." The chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Housing and Communal Services and the Fuel and Energy Complex, a member of the United Russia faction, Vladimir Bespalov, noted the significance of the repairman's profession and the need to promote working specialties. The chairwoman of the regional organization of the life support workers' trade union, Elena Lenina, reported that the winners—union members receive an additional bonus from the regional trade union committee. The youngest winner—a union member will also receive a monetary reward of 10 thousand rubles. In addition, the prize winners were awarded cash prizes of 100, 60, and 40 thousand rubles for the first, second, and third places, respectively.
